SERVICE CONSULTANT - INSURANCE
My leading Insurance client in the City is seeking a Service Consultant to be responsible for liaising between specific internal business units and third party service providers on service delivery issues. The Service Consultant will act as an escalation point for incidents and ensure that customer group is receiving a service that satisfies business requirements.
The business unit responsibility assignments include: * Property & Casualty * Marine Aviation & Reinsurance * Motor & Specialty * Corporate & Back Office services plus other relationship responsibilities as assigned.
Service Consultant - General Description
* Provide first line support for dealing with the operational issues that arise where there are interfaces with the Supplier's process and support infrastructure to ensure continuation of service * Undertake problem determination and/or resolution from both the service suppliers and the business to maintain and improve service to customers * Ensure business unit readiness for any run service introductions * Monitor IT change delivery, internal or by external providers, to ensure smooth delivery of services * Coordinate new service introductions, internal and external, with the Change team to ensure a smooth implementation and delivery of business requirements * Maintain relationship(s) with external service supplier(s) to ensure the continual provision of overall services which meet business requirements * Hold regular service review meetings to identify any issues that may impact on service delivery and discuss and plan change * Liaise with Service Level management team to ensure SLAs are appropriately aligned and to identify opportunities for service level improvements
Service Consultant - Essential Requirements
* Experience of working in a service delivery environment * Experience of working with external service supplier(s) * Track record of successful business relationship management * Strong insurance industry experience in European, London, or UK Market and solid understanding of key products within those markets * Understanding of business and technology solution components and the ability to use that knowledge to build credible relationships * Excellent knowledge of own QBE business units * Understanding of the contract with the external service supplier * Understanding of the business drivers and factors driving change in the provision of IT to the Insurance industry * Good knowledge of IT environment/ solutions, plans and strategies of own business unit * ITIL accreditation * Excellent and demonstrable influencing and negotiation skills * Communication skills - ability to communicate with all levels * Relationship management - ability to cooperate/ collaborate with business representatives and third party suppliers
